Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

BTech LLC operates BiaVis. This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for information that may reveal or be used to infer an individual’s health, fitness, movement, or physical activity. Contact privacy@biavis.app.

Health data BiaVis processes

BiaVis can process workout type, repetitions, distance, duration, speed, pace, elevation, heart rate, active energy, cycling cadence, cycling power, and cycling speed. It can also process precise location and motion evidence used to verify a workout. Camera video stays on-device; derived body-joint coordinates may be uploaded for verification.

Sources and purposes

The information comes from you, iPhone sensors, Apple Health when you grant permission, and BiaVis verification results. We use it to show workout analytics, save workouts and routes to Apple Health, verify performance, detect vehicle travel or implausible evidence, calculate standings and BiaVis Points, prevent fraud, fulfill your export/deletion requests, and keep the service secure.

Sharing

We share health-related information only with processors needed to provide the service, when you deliberately share an eligible summary with a Club, when required by law, or to protect a person or the service. BiaVis does not sell consumer health data, use it for targeted advertising, or use HealthKit data for marketing. Personal routes are private and are not published socially.

Apple Health boundary

Raw HealthKit samples remain on the iPhone. BiaVis queries only permitted sample types within the exact workout interval and displays heart rate, cadence, power, or speed only when genuine samples exist. Apple’s Health settings control permission. Deleting BiaVis does not delete workouts already written to Apple Health; those are controlled in Apple Health.

Retention and deletion

GPS verification evidence is retained for 30 days when accepted and 90 days when review or suspicious; device-only practice traces are retained up to seven days. Verified competitive facts may remain pseudonymous after account deletion. Use Account & Safety to delete local workout history or the account, or email privacy@biavis.app to exercise applicable health-data rights.

Appeals and complaints

If we deny a rights request, you may reply to request an appeal. You may also contact the regulator or attorney general available under local law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
